Central High International School offers the following sporting activities: soccer, handball, korfball, volleyball, netball, basketball, hockey, cricket, table tennis, badminton, chess and athletics.
The school has a comprehensive training programme to cater to students of mixed abilities in Year 7, 8 and 9. The lower secondary school time table includes two PE lessons every week.
Monday and Tuesday afternoons are set aside for in-depth training lessons for girls and boys respectively. Pupils in Year 7 – Year 13 train in any one of their chosen sporting fields.
Every Wednesday House competitions are held for the students to four Houses, Zomba, Nyika, Viphya and Mulanje.
The school boasts of excellent sporting facilities for all the sporting activities it teaches. The school also participates in inter-school competitions during many weekends, in different sporting fields. for more practice and training sessions, Thursday afternoon is kept aside, with a fifty minutes slot.
