  • CHIS Form 1 Learners Explore Mulanje’s Cultural and Natural Wonders
Central High International School (CHIS) provides its students with a well-rounded education that goes beyond the confines of the classroom. Through its partnership with Adventures With Colby, Malawi’s leading destination management company, CHIS students have the opportunity to explore the rich cultural and natural heritage of Malawi throughout the academic year.
On April 27th, 2023, our Form 1 students embarked on a one-day field trip to Mulanje, where they enjoyed exploring and swimming in the renowned Thuchila Falls. The students then proceeded to the Likhubula Arts n’ Crafts Market, where they had the opportunity to learn about Malawi’s rich artistic culture. The day concluded with a visit to a tea plantation, where the students gained knowledge about tea farming and processing, as well as the history of tea cultivation in Malawi.
The field trips provide a unique opportunity for students at CHIS to learn about their country’s culture and history while also fostering a spirit of curiosity and a desire to learn. Additionally, the excursions provide an excellent opportunity for students to bond with their peers and improve their social skills.
